5 Ways to Start Fall off Right

September is a month that many of us start a new journey. It's back to school time, of course, and so new routines are automatically happening for students and parents alike. But even when you don't fit into one of those two groups, we start to energize a little more as the lazy, hazy days of summer come to an end.

If you are ready to set up for success, here are a few tips to help you get there.

  • Get very clear on what it is you are planning to do. Write it out with clarity of the goal of the new strategy.

  • Get clear on why you are doing this. How is this going to help your life? What will change positively for you when this is underway?

  • Brainstorm any resources you are missing that will that will effect this new routine/change happening. This could be time, energy, help; anything that will get in the way of making a new plan.

  • Can you get the resources you need or do you need to tweak the plan?

  • Brainstorm how to make this new routine/plan inevitable. Is accountability built in?

Once you look at all of these factors, you are ready to get fall underway for a successful last few months of the year. Remember that success looks different to different people, so only consider your definition! You get to make the call about how you're doing.
