A course in Mindfulness

Note: This course provides Canadian Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Credits as well as 4.5 primary CEUs for MTANS

The one hour weekly sessions will explore mindfulness concepts and how to build more mindfulness into your daily life.
We’ll look at Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and how to use those tools to reduce your stress as well as Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy and how that might help chronic unhappiness and depression amongst other disorders.

This course is for you if:

  • You are feeling overwhelmed with all that needs to get done

  • You are feeling stress or anxiety

  • You want to engage more with life and loved ones

  • You want to improve your overall outlook

  • You want to learn mindfulness meditation

  • You want more control over emotions

    Session 1: Intro to Mindfulness

    Session 2: Automaticity

    Session 3: Non-judgment

    Session 4: Awareness and Acceptance

    Session 5: Goals as related to Mindfulness

    Session 6: Self-judgment and Criticism

    Session 7: The Ego and Identity

    Session 8: Integration, Wrap up and Home practice
